The SMXi First Year Technology Challenge Award is provided to the winning team of first year computer science students who take part in a “challenge” building robotic applications. Students submit the code of their project, together with a video of the project in action. The winning project is selected by a group of academics who assess originality, development skills, robustness and presentation.
